Just add the Google Nest or Home device that's connected to the Bluetooth speaker to any speaker group. Learn how to create or add your speaker to an audio group. Note that you’ll have to talk to your Nest devices to issue commands — the mics on your Bluetooth speakers won’t help. Some music apps, like Spotify, may let you select a group visually. Either way, this is a great way to experience multi-room audio without having to buy expensive smart speakers for every room. You can change the default speaker to any of them to play music and audio.
Select Paired Bluetooth devices followed by Enable pairing mode, then go back to the Audio menu and tap Default music speaker to choose your Bluetooth output. To create a multi-room group, tap the plus icon from the front page of Google Home, and choose Create speaker group. The audio was transmitted to Google Home using the Bluetooth connection between your mobile device and Google Home. I tried disconnecting Google Nest from my Bluetooth devices and reconnecting again. I noticed that I had to through the same error and uninstall solution for Google Nest to be selectable as a speaker again. When the restart is finished and you are logged into your Windows desktop, open again the list of available speakers.
You can only have one connected Bluetooth speaker or headphones to play music through at a time. There's no reason to reconnect the Bluetooth speaker each time you want to use it. One of the chief complaints about the Nest Mini is its poor audio. Thankfully, you can skip upgrading from the Nest Mini if you have a decent Bluetooth speaker sitting around and even play music from multiple rooms simultaneously. You can listen to audio files you've saved locally or from apps that Google Home isn't supporting. You can even stream movies on your phone or laptop and use the speaker for the audio to get that multimedia room feel.
